Rest and Peace (Soft Wind)

From the album Telegraph Canyon

Where does the soul go for rest?
Where does the mind go for peace?
To find some silence at best
To find some quiet at least

Where do the thoughts go to hide?
Where do the dreams go to flee?
To clear some room inside
To clear away the debris

The door was opened
to let in some air
a stirring in the leaves
soft wind somewhere

Sunlight and colour
danced on the ground
soft wind was laughing
the sweetest sound

A breeze of comfort
fragrant and fine
soft wind whispered,
“Come out and shine.”

The door closed behind
We stepped out - breathed it in
all the colour, all the beauty
of the soft wind
